How do I become a member of the Texas Outlaws AAU Basketball Team?
Tryouts are held and if selected, you will be placed with your appropriate age group
Currently, the Outlaws have boys teams ranging from 3rd grade to 10th grade.
Who coaches the teams?
Coach Brian Skinner and his staff provide an excellent coaching experience for each team.
How often do we hold practice?
Practice is typically twice per week, ranging from 1 ½ to 2 hours.
How many tournaments do we play?
We try to play 1-2 tournaments a month, which can range from 1-2 days (on weekends)
Tournaments are usually local, around the Houston area.
The older boys, usually late middle school and high school, will travel out of town or even out of state to some larger tournaments.
When does the season start? When does it end?
The season starts in December and ends in July
How much does it cost?
Cost per month will depend on your child’s age group, as the price goes up as the boys get older (as tournament entry fees become more expensive with the older age groups)

Once selected to a team, an initial deposit is required on the day of tryouts. Deposit covers the cost of the uniform and gear and will cover the LAST months dues.
What kind of uniform or gear is included?
Gear is provided by Under Armour, and includes one reversible uniform top, a pair of uniform shorts, a shooting shirt, hoodie, compression shirt and backpack.
We do not have team shoes; your child can wear whichever basketball shoes are to their liking and they do NOT have to be the Under Armour brand.
